Travel Info & How to Get There
✈️ Getting to the Mentawai Islands
To join the SurfXplore x Siloina boat trip, here’s how your journey will look:
- Fly internationally to Jakarta (CGK) or Denpasar, Bali (DPS)
- From there, book a domestic flight to Padang Airport (PDG) – Minangkabau International Airport
- Several daily flights available via airlines like Garuda, Lion Air, Batik Air
- We recommend arriving at least one day before departure in case of delays
- Once in Padang:
- You’ll be greeted by our crew and transferred to the harbor
- We’ll handle all boat transfers from Padang to the Siloina
📍Boat departure & return are both from Padang, Sumatra
We’ll send you exact meeting times and logistics after booking.
🛂 Visa Information (Indonesia)
- Most nationalities (EU, USA, Canada, Australia, etc.) can enter Indonesia with a Visa on Arrival (VOA)
- VOA costs ± $35 USD, valid for 30 days, extendable once
- You can also apply for an eVisa ahead of time via molina.imigrasi.go.id
💡 Tip: Make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months and you have a return/onward flight booked.
